Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Belgrade H.E. Hami Aksoy and President of the Turkish-Serbian Business Association Mr. Fatih Karaca, with Halkbank Belgrade Marketing Director Mr. Hasan Cömert, visited the Minister of Information and Telecommunications Mr. Mihailo Jovanović and expressed their deep gratitude for the support provided during the collection of humanitarian aid for the areas affected by the devastating earthquakes that hit the Republic of Türkiye in February this year.
Through SMS messages to the number 1003, which was active with all mobile operators in the Republic of Serbia, a total of 79.155 SMS messages were sent.
The Turkish-Serbian Business Association has opened accounts in dinars and euros to pay financial aid to the vulnerable population. The total number of legal and natural persons who supported humanitarian financial aid is 521.
305.000 EUR of humanitarian aid has been transferred to accounts of the Emergency Situations Administration of the Republic of Türkiye AFAD until today.
